  • 25、As we know, the desert (沙漠) covers large areas of the earth. In the desert, there is very little rain and it is very hot in the day and so cold at night. If you are a hiker who wants to cross the desert, it might be wise to know what you should do in order to survive in the desert.

Try to find water in the desert. If you find a small piece of land where the earth is wet, dig deep inside to look for water. Another method of getting water is to cover a green plant with a plastic bag. As it breathes, the water vapor will collect inside the bag. Little by little, you can collect enough water to drink.

Plan to travel at night and sleep during the day if you find you have to stay in the desert for a period of time. If you can find any shade in the desert, use it as a shelter (遮蔽物) to protect you from the strong sunlight.

Wear clothing in light color. It may seem like you’ll be cooler if you wear that kind of clothes, which actually help your body become cool and protect you from sunburn (晒伤).

Prepare to signal (示意) to planes passing overhead if you are caught in the desert. During the day keep a smoky fire burning and at night, a bright, clean burning one. 五、短文填空 (共1题,共 5分)
  • 28、六 填词

Once a circle lost a piece of its own. The circle wanted to be whole, so it went around, looking for its m1 piece. But because it was not complete , it could only roll  ()  very slowly. It enjoyed the flowers and the sunshine a2the way. It talked with worms. It found lots of different pieces, but n3 of them fit. So it left them all by the side of the road and kept on l4 for the lost piece. Then one day the circle found a piece that fit p5. The circle put the piece into itself , It could be whole with nothing lost. It was so h6 and began to roll. As it was a perfect circle, it could roll very f7, too fast to see flowers or talk to worms. It realized how different the world was when it rolled so quickly. It felt so sad that it stopped, left its found piece by the side of the road and rolled very slowly.

Sometimes we are perfect when we lose some thing. A man who o8  everything is poor in some ways. He will never have hopes, dreams or something better. He will never know some one loves him or someone is giving him something he has always wanted or never had.

We couldn't be perfect. But we must be brave e9 to love, strong enough to forgive, kind enough to s10 happiness with others and clever enough to know there is enough love around us and then we can always have a wonderful time in our life.
