26、 A campaign (活动)is being launched to encourage children to give up 30 minutes of screen time a day to head for the great outdoors.
The newly formed Wild Network — a cooperation of nearly 400 organisations --- is trying to attract teenagers away from television and computer screen and into fields, woods and parks. Organisers say that it is the UK's biggest ever campaign to reconnect children with nature and outdoor play, and that it could help improve fitness, mental(精神的)health and general well being. A documentary film, Project Wild Thing, will announce the launch at more than 50 cinemas across the UK from Friday. It looks at the increasingly weak link between children and nature.
Andy Simpson, chairman of the Wild Network, said: "The sad truth is that kids have lost touch with nature. Time spent outdoors is down, activity areas and levels are falling strongly and the ability to identify common species (物种)has been lost."
Suggestions of how to get more time in nature include camping or racing and observing autumn colour on trees and so on. From January, the network will aim to make suggestions to politicians on how government can do more to get children muddy (沾满泥污的)and bright¬-eyed.
This is not the first time the message of less screen, more play has been brought up. Children in the 1980s were asked to do the same by the BBC TV series Why Don't You, which somewhat confusingly called on its viewers to "switch off your TV set, and do something less boring instead".

28、Aruba (阿鲁巴岛) is one of the most well-known Caribbean destinations (目的地) for tourists around the world. You’re probably wondering what to include while you’re there.
What to wear?
The main reason why you’re heading there is to relax on the country’s fresh beaches and enjoy yourself in warm waters of the Caribbean Sea. What else to bring?
The Caribbean sun is very strong and if you’re planning on spending lots of time in the sun, there are several precautions (预防措施) you must take, including sun cream, sunglasses, a wide hat, a couple of bathing suits as well as a beach bag and a cooler in your luggage.
What not to bring?
While drinking water is questionable or not safe in many Caribbean nations, Aruba is an exception. Aruba is known for having the cleanest water in the world. There water, so simply bring along an empty bottle.
Several items are not allowed in Aruba for carrying. These include firearms, e-cigarettes as well as sharp objects and tools.

29、How to Respond when Someone Judges You
Dealing with judgment from other people can be tough, especially when it’s coming from a friend, family member, or colleague. Judgmental people are unavoidable, but you can easily deal with their criticism using positivity and compassion.
Rid yourself of the judgment. Remember that a judgmental person’s words are a reflection of their own beliefs-and not yours. Critical people criticize themselves more than anyone else. 【1】.
Be sympathetic. Practice sympathy to understand the source of this person’s judgment. It could be that they were judged by parents, family, or friends, in which case this person’s critical attitude would be something they learned(and not necessarily intentional). While that doesn’t excuse their behavior, having sympathy can inform your response. Say things like “【2】,” or “I see where you’re coming from, but…” when you respond to someone’s judgment.
Ask for clarification. 【3】. Ask this person to explain what they said, and find out their motivation for saying it. You could ask then, “What are you trying to say? If you have constructive criticism, I’m open to hearing it.” That way, you’re giving the other person a gentle reminder to phrase their words constructively.
【4】. Be polite but firm when you call out judgmental people. If somebody crosses a line and makes you feel criticized, tell them how you feel. If someone is giving you criticism you didn’t ask for, you could say, “【5】, and I have a plan that works for me.”
A.Stop talking like this
B.Set boundaries in the conversation
C.I understand why you feel that way
D.I feel like I need to deal with this in my way
E.I know you want to talk but this is a sensitive subject for me
F.Judgmental people may not know they’re being rude or unreasonable
G.So the judgment they pass isn’t actually about you, though it can feel personal

31、Directions: Complete the following passage by using the words in the box. Each word can only be used once. Note that there is one word more than you need.
“Life of Pi” is narrated by an older Pi and takes place in the present as he tells his life story to a writer. Pi begins with how he got his name and how his family owned a zoo, but eventually leads into his family needing to leave India for financial 【1】. The heart of the story lies in Pi as a young man and the time he spent out at sea on a lifeboat with a tiger named Richard Parker, but getting to that point is quite an ordeal(苦难考验). Pi loses everything and everyone close to him in the blink of an eye and he doesn’t 【2】 on making what feels like an unbreakable bond with a Bengal tiger.
The 【3】 film offers a rather marvelous message about religion as Pi discusses the experimentation with several different religions as a young boy. Even though it seems kind of silly that a boy has 【4】 so many religions at one point in his life, it portrays a/an 【5】 message in a light that doesn’t seem too preachy(说教的). But the religious aspect is really only a backdrop for being on your own 【6】 to finding who you really are. Feeling so alone for so long and having Pi talk about not being alone and not getting to say goodbye to those he cared about most is one of those things that just hits you really hard.
While witnessing Pi attempt to tame Richard Parker is really 【7】, there are so many unbelievable sights to witness in “Life of Pi”. There’s the whale, the jellyfish, the flying fish, that 【8】 storm, and that seaweed island with all of the meerkats (a kind of monkey). “Life of Pi” never really lets up on being 【9】 breathtaking and amazing from beginning to end.
“Life of Pi” is pleasantly satisfying. With a heartfelt message, beautiful visuals, and stunning camera work. “Life of Pi” is truly a sight to behold and illustrates how 【10】 3D can be to a film that isn’t just a summer hit or blockbuster.
