26、Few things are as wonderful as visiting a beautiful natural place, breathing the fresh air and enjoying the beauty.【1】People can love a place to death if they aren’t careful. In 1990, the Leave No Trace movement attempted to help. They introduced the following principles to encourage people to both enjoy and protect the great outdoors.
Plan ahead. 【2】 Check the weather forecast, plan what clothing to wear, and think about a water supply. Also, check the area’s rules for use.
Throw away waste properly. Never leave garbage behind. Don’t leave your food wrappers, cans or leftovers.【3】
Respect wildlife. You should stay at least 100meters away from wildlife, so you don’t disturb any animals. 【4】 Protect your food so that animals can’t get into it, and don’t feed the animals on anything. Human food isn’t good for them, and becoming comfortable with humans is dangerous for them. They may forget how to survive in the wild or become less afraid of humans.
【5】 Don’t make loud noises or play loud music when you’re out in natural environments. It annoys both the animals and humans. Don’t travel in large groups as it makes it troublesome for other travelers to move around on the paths.
The principles above can help everyone share the outdoors comfortably. We all need to take care of the earth we know and love.
A.Be kind to other visitors.
B.What you take in, take out.
C.But enjoying nature comes at a price.
D.Getting too close could be dangerous.

27、People with interesting personalities often have more opportunities open to them because of their ability to maintain the attention of others. When you meet or talk to them, you may feel as though your personality is dull and uninspiring. 【1】
Listen to what others have to say. Most people enjoy talking about their lives and themselves,so become more interested and you will seem more interesting. 【2】 Look them directly in the eyes and ask them questions or comment on what they have just told you, instead of just waiting for your turn to talk about yourself.
【3】 Watch the news, read books, and pay attention. If you don’t know about a particular topic, research it and form an opinion on it. People like to be around others who can carry on conversations about lots of things.
Look for the humour in every situation. A sense of humour can work wonders for a dull personality,so laugh as often as you can and you’ll be a more naturally attractive person. Laughter can also reduce your stress to a degree. 【4】
Accept and love yourself and others. When you dislike yourself and your personality, other people pick up on this, and they may assume they shouldn’t like you, either. 【5】 Judge other people less as well; gossip and speaking poorly of others seem like good short-term entertainment, but in the long run it can make you seem dull and untrustworthy.
A.Form opinions on everything.
B.Make everyone you speak to feel important.
C.Your brain will see these situations as reality.
D.Search for the best in yourself and everyone else.
E.When you feel better, you’re more fun to be around.

G.But it’s relatively easy to develop those personalities that you find so interesting.
28、 China has successfully landed a spacecraft on Mars, stale media announced early on Saturday. The six-wheeled Zhurong robot was targeting Utopia Planitia, a vast land in the planet's northern hemisphere.
Zhurong, which means God of Fire, was carried to Mars on the Tianwen-1 orbiter, which arrived above the planet in February. The vehicle used a combination of a protective capsule, a parachute and a rocket platform to make the descent landing. A heat shield (保护盾) protected be spacecraft during the fiery descent (降落) , after which Zhurong safely parachuted down to the Utopia Planitia. Tianwen-1's landing platform then fired some small, downward-facing rocket engines to slow down during the last few seconds of its descent. The successful touchdown is a remarkable achievement, given the difficult nature of the task. Only few countries have really mastered landing on Mars until now. America put down its largest rover (巡视器), Perseverance, in February Europe, which has twice failed with landing attempts, will send a rover to Mars next year hand in hand with the Russians. All other countries that have tried have either crushed or lost contact soon after reaching the surface.
Now that Zhurong has got down successfully, scientists will try to get at least 90 Martian days of service out of it, studying the local geology. The robot Zhurong, weighs some 240kg and is powered by fold-out solar panels. Zhurong caries cameras to take pictures and assist navigation (巡航); five additional instruments will investigate the mineral resources of local rocks and the general nature of the environment, including the weather.

29、 Their man-servant had been sent one morning to Exeter on business, and when he waited at table, he began to chat with his mistress.
“I suppose you know, ma’am, that Mr. Ferrars is married.”
Marianne gave a violent start, fixed her eyes upon Elinor, saw her turning pale, fell back in her chair and lost control of her emotions. Mrs. Dashwood was shocked to realize by Elinor’s expression how much she really suffered.
Mrs. Dashwood immediately took all that trouble on herself;, and Elinor had the benefit of the information without the effort of seeking it.
“Who told you that Mr. Ferrars was married, Thomas?”
“I see Mr. Ferrars myself, ma’am, this morning in Exeter, and his lady too, Miss Steele as was. They were stopping in a chaise at the door of the New London Inn, and she knew me and called to me, and inquired after you, maam, and the young ladies, especially Miss Marianne.”

“Was Mr. Ferrars in the carriage with her?”
“Yes, ma’am, I just see him leaning (倚靠) back in it, but he did not look up -he never was a gentleman much for talking.”

“Was there no one else in the carriage?” “No, ma’am, only they two.”
“Do you know where they came from?”
“They come straight from town, as Miss Lucy-Mrs. Ferrars told me.” “And are they going farther westward?”
“Yes, ma’am, but not to bide long. They will soon be back again, and then they’d be sure and call here.”
Thomas’s intelligence seemed over. Elinor looked as if she wished to hear more, Mrs. Dashwood could think of no other question, and Thomas and the tablecloth, were soon afterwards dismissed.
