26、 The best colors for advertising are those that make people comfortable or stimulate (激发) their senses; knowing which color does that depends on what is being advertised. In general, color schemes (调配)contain three kinds: warm, cool and black and white.
Warm Colors
Bright red, orange, and yellow are warm colors, and they stimulate excitement. In fact, all advertisements and menus of fast food chains feature these colors.Warm colors are some of the best colors for advertising food as they are known to increase the appetite.
A color scheme that includes warm colors also encourages people to stay longer. These colors stimulate warmth and comfort, and when people relax over dinner, they are more likely to enjoy a dessert or a cup of coffee, thus spending more money.
Cool Colors
Besides knowledge and understanding, some shades of blue are also associated with quiet. As a result, blue can actually slow a person's heart rate (比率)and reduce appetite, which is why it's not often chosen for restaurant advertising. On the other hand, blue is one of the best colors for advertising medicine and other health products. 27、The baggy yellow shirt had long sleeves and four extra-large pockets. It was faded (褪色) from years of wear, but still in good shape. I found it in 1963 when I was home from college on Christmas break, looking through bags of clothes Mom planned to give away. Seeing me packing the yellow shirt, Mom said, “I wore that when I was pregnant (怀孕) with your brother in 1954!”
“It’s just the thing to wear over my clothes during art class, Mom. Thanks!” Then I put it into my suitcase. The yellow shirt became a part of my college wardrobe (衣橱). I loved it. After graduation, I wore the shirt the day I moved into my new apartment and on Saturday mornings when I cleaned.
The next year, I married. When I became pregnant, I wore the yellow shirt. I missed Mom and the rest of my family, since we were in Colorado and they were in Illinois. But that shirt helped. I smiled, remembering that Mother had worn it. That Christmas, I repaired one sleeve, packed it in holiday paper and sent it to Mom. When Mom wrote to thank me for her real gifts, she said the yellow shirt was lovely.
The next year, my husband, daughter and I stopped at Mom and Dad’s to pick up some furniture. Days later, at the kitchen table, I noticed something yellow tied to its bottom. The shirt! And so the pattern was set. On our next visit home, I secretly placed the shirt under Mom and Dad’s mattress (床垫). I don’t know how long it took for her to find it, but almost two years passed before I discovered it under the base of our living-room floor lamp. The yellow shirt was just what I needed now while refinishing (重新整修) furniture.

28、NASA said its Kepler spacecraft has spotted 'Earth's bigger, older cousin': the first nearly Earth-size planet to be found in the habitable zone of a star similar to our own.
Though NASA can’t say for sure whether the planet is rocky like ours or has water and air, it's the closest match yet found.
The planet, Kepler-452b, is about 60% bigger than Earth, NASA says, and is located in its star's habitable zone, where life-sustaining liquid water is possible on the surface of a planet.
A visitor there would experience gravity about twice that of Earth's, and scientists say the possibility of it having a rocky surface are 'better than ever'. While it's a bit farther from its star than Earth is from the sun, its star is brighter, so the planet receives about the same amount of energy from its star as Earth does from the sun.
Kepler researcher Jeff Jenkins said, 'The planet almost certainly has an atmosphere, although scientists can't say what it's made of. But if the assumptions are correct, kepler-452b's atmosphere may be thicker than Earth's. '
It takes 385 days for the planet to orbit its star. 'Because it has spent so long orbiting in this zone—6 billion years—it's had plenty of time to brew life,' Jenkins said.
'That's an opportunity for life to arise, if all the necessary ingredients and conditions for life exist on this planet, ' he said in a statement.
Kepler-452b is too far away for humans to visit. But the discovery of this new Earth-like planet can tell us a lot about what’s possible for the future of space travel. 'The next step in the process is to do follow-up missions to find planets similar to kepler-452b, but much closer to Earth, ' said Peter Coughlin, a Kepler research scientist. 'We could do a lot more research into those planets, and even start to think about visiting one day. '
【1】The researchers are sure that Kepler-452b ________.
A.is larger than Earth
B.has an atmosphere
C.has air and water
D.has many rocks
【2】What is the similarity between Kepler-452b and the Earth?
A.They are both located in the sun's habitable zone.
B.Their distances from the sun are almost the same.
C.Their atmospheres are made of the same compositions.
D.They get almost the same amount of energy from their stars..
【3】The underlined word 'brew' in paragraph 6 most probably means ________.
A.improve
B.endanger
C.produce
D.protect

29、 Being in the midst of a pandemic lockdown can make people feel worried. But nothing has exemplified this panicky behavior more than stockpile (囤积), specifically toilet paper.
Seemingly transcending (超越) borders and cultures, people from all over the world, including the US,UK and Japan, have been clearing supermarket shelves primarily for this necessity. But what’s the reason for this sudden toilet paper fixation? You can understand panic buying food, but do we really need this much toilet paper?
Steven Taylor, author of the book The Psychology of Pandemics, told the Independent that our toilet paper hoarding is a product of our disgust. During a pandemic, people’s sensitivity to disgust increases, like when you flinch (躲避) if someone nearby sneezes.
“Disgust is like an alarm mechanism (机制) and what better tool for eliminating (消除) disgusting material than toilet paper. I think this is how it became a conditioned symbol of safety,” he said.
Writing for The Conversation, Niki Edwards of The Queensland University of Technology said, “When people hear about the novel coronavirus, they are afraid of losing control. And toilet paper feels like a way to maintain control over hygiene (卫生) and cleanliness.”
Another one of the most obvious reasons behind this toilet paper trend, according to the BBC, is the snowball effect. Due to its noticeable coverage, both in the news and social media, people naturally ask, “Will there be enough toilet paper for my family and me?” This invariably leads to more people following the crowd and buying toilet paper because of their fear of missing out.
“Fear is very easy to spread among people. So when those sorts of things go viral (走红), when you see people around you buying things in a panicky way, it’s going to make you feel more anxious,” wrote American psychologist Baruch Fischhoff for CNBC.
While there are, of course, selfish people who stockpile just because they can, it’s worth keeping things in perspective. Remember, just as countries are cooperating to find a Vaccine, we must cooperate to ensure that everyone has their share of necessities.
【1】What is the main idea of this text?

A.dislike B.comfort
C.calm D.anxiety

B.The fear of losing control over cleanliness.
C.The frequent reporting on toilet paper.
D.The infectious fear making you feel more anxious.
【4】What is the author’s attitude towards the toilet paper hoarding?
A.favorable. B.doubtful.
C.disapproval. D.neutral.
