25、 We are excited when we reach our goals, and at that moment we laugh, clap and so on. Without doubt, good results make us joyful. However, we cannot always get what we want and be the winner all the time. Some people can’t help doubting “Are our efforts in vain?” The answer is “No”. We should remember that we are not only measured(测量)by how many goals we've reached, but how we acted, which means, process is also important.
Here is an example. Fruits are delicious. It takes trees a long time to bear them. In the process of growing, trees have to suffer from bad weather, insect bites and also intentional destructions(故意的破坏) from human beings, So it is with us. Our life is like a journey. At the beginning, we set a goal, dreaming of it every night, but we should never forget that we spend most of our time on the journey. Unfortunately, many people only complain about the failure and then give up hope. In fact, it is the failure that teaches us to be brave and stand on our own.
I myself deeply believe that only those who experienced a lot can own the highly-valued characters, and that only those who adventured(冒险) can have the chance to succeed. It is said “No pain, no gain.” We are still young, still full of energy, so why are we afraid of failure and why do we hesitate(犹豫)to take an adventure?
Young men, let’s forget results, leave out pain, and just look forward and don’t miss any chance on the journey!

26、 We were a crowd of people who took the bus every day that summer three years ago. One of the passengers was a small man who took the bus to the center for the old people every morning.

Every morning after that Charlie always brought a flower. Some of the passengers began bringing him flowers, gently pushed him and said shyly, "Here." Everyone smiled. The men started to play jokes, and talked to each other.
The summer went by, and autumn was coming, when one morning Charlie wasn't waiting at his usual stop. When he wasn't there the next day and the day after that, we started wondering if he was sick.
"Yes," the driver said, he knew who we were talking about. "The man was fine, but he had gone to his friend's funeral. He would come back on Monday." How silent we were the rest of the way to work!

27、 Let me tell you about a young boy who made a model car all on his own. The boy is me, six years ago when I was just 11. The car was small and simple, but in my imagination it was a high-speed racing car, speeding along the race road.
It was during the school summer holidays and workmen were building a new driveway and garage (车库) beside our house. It meant to add something new to our home. When I watched the workman, I came up with an idea—I would build a car to drive into the garage in celebration of it. I told my mother and began with my plans. But I couldn't find the right things for making the car, so I gave up and sadly spent several days doing nothing. My mother noticed that I had stopped working and asked me why. I explained and she suggested that maybe I should change my plan to fit the things I had, rather than give up.
And that's just what I did. I found small pieces of wood in my father's workshop and made my car from anything that was lying around the house. When I found a small engine from one of my old model planes, I added that. The power came from a battery (电池) I found in a box.
By the time the garage was finished, so was my car. I called my family together outside the house, started the engine and put the car on the driveway. It was fast, and I had to run to the garage to prevent it from hitting the new door. My family began to cheer and I smiled proudly.
Thanks to my mother, I learned the value of continuing to do things, especially something difficult. Soon I was making plans for my next project: a robot!
