23、 Sophie, a 14-year-old British girl, suddenly changed a lot in class. She lost her interest in study and often sat at her desk with her head down.
Ethan Miller, one of Sophie’s teachers, found the reason: she was bullied ( 欺凌) online. Sophie received impolite messages on her phone and on Facebook. Miller shared Sophie’s story on the website of The Children’s Society, a children’s group in the United Kingdom.
Sophie was not alone. Not long ago, Korean top star, Chui Se-ri killed herself after years of being bullied online. According to a report in September, one in three young people, in 30 countries, said they were ever bullied online. Twenty percent of those bullied students chose not to go to school because of it. The study surveyed (调查) more than 170,000 young people aged 13-24 from countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and South America. Most of them said social media, like Facebook and Twitter, are the most common places for online bullying.
At the same time, online bullying could have serious results for young people. If they are bullied online, they may not want to ask the people around them for help. Instead, they just keep the bad feelings to themselves. That may be the reason why they choose to hurt themselves or even kill themselves.
To work out the problem, national help and public support are badly needed. The government ( 政 府 ) and schools should pay enough attention ( 注 意 ) to this problem. At the same time, training for teachers and parents to stop online bullying is also necessary.
Meanwhile (与此同时), here is some advice to keep yourself safe on the Internet. First, make sure that you show enough respect (尊重) to others, although you don’t have similar ideas, values or beliefs. Second, if you experience online bullying, the best response (反应) to a bully is no response at all. Last but not least, keep a record of anything if it shows proof (证据) of online bullying, like screenshot (截 屏). You can use this to report and stop them.

24、A Chinese spacecraft called Chang’e-4 made the first soft landing on the far side of the moon at 10:26 a. m. on January 3, 2019. It is the first time that a spacecraft has made it. The far side is the part of the moon that always faces away from the Earth.
After it landed on the ground, the spacecraft took the first photo of the “dark side” of the moon, and sent it back to the Earth through the Queqiao relay satellite(中继卫星). The scientists launched the satellite into space in May, 20l8.
“What we know about the far side of the moon is from orbiters(轨道飞行器), from Russia, the US, European countries, China and India,” Andrew Coates, a professor of Physics at University College London, told a reporter.
China sent Chang’e-4 into space from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in December, 2018. Sending a spacecraft to the far side of the moon isn’t easy, because the far side is covered in craters(环形山). Some of its mountains are higher than Qomolangma, the highest mountain on the Earth.
What’s more, we can’t see the far side because it takes the moon about 28 days to move around the Earth with the same side always facing our planet. Direct communication with the Earth is impossible on the far side of the moon, so communications must go through a communication satellite. That was why scientists launched the Quegiao relay satellite.

A.Why sending a spacecraft to the far side of the moon is difficult.

C.The differences between the mountains on the Earth and the mountains on the moon.
D.How the moon travels around the Earth with the same side always facing our planet.
【4】What CANNOT we know from the passage?
A.When Chang’e-4 landed on the far side of the moon.
B.How scientists sent the satellite into space.
C.What Chang’e-4 did after landing on the far side of the moon.
D.What people knew about the far side of the moon.
