26、 Happiness is a choice. For every minute you are angry, you lose 60 seconds of happiness. Be happy. Be yourself. If others don't like it,then let them be.【1】
Begin today by taking responsibility for your own satisfaction. Here are four ways to choose happiness:
1.【2】 Give it your all in everything you do,be devoted to your goals, and don't compare yourself to anyone else. Never try to be better than anyone else. If you feel called to compare yourself to someone, compare yourself to an earlier version of yourself.
2. Be around the right people.【3】 Life is too short to spend time with people who suck the happiness out of you. When you free yourself from negative people, you free yourself to be YOU-and being YOU is the only way to truly live.
3. Help others when you're able. Care about people. In life, you get what you put in.【4】 Do something that's greater than you-something that helps someone else to be happy or to suffer less.
4. Let go when you know you should. Sometimes you have to be strong for yourself. Love is worth fighting for,but you can't be the only one fighting. People need to fight for you too. If they don't,you eventually have to move on and realize that what you gave them was more than they were willing to give you.【5】 If you try to force them back together things will only get worse. Holding on is being brave, but letting go and moving on is often what makes us stronger and happier.
A. Choose to be the best YOU can be.
B. Life isn't about pleasing everybody.
C. Relationships should help you, not hurt you.
D. Focus on what you have, not on what you haven't.
E. Some relationships and situations just can't be fixed.
F.A positive influence on others means a positive one on your own.
G. No one else has the power to make you feel small unless you give them the power.
27、 About 18 months ago, my father was in the hospital recovering from a major lung operation. My mother had recently passed away, and my father had taken the loss of his partner of 55 years very hard and had lost interest in life.
Trying to get him to eat each day was quite a chore as he didn’t want anything. The one thing, however, that he would ask us to bring him was ice-cream.
One evening to our surprise, he refused to eat the ice-cream, so I placed it in a staff room freezer. A little while later, my son decided he wanted it, so I fetched it for him.
As I passed another ward, a woman asked, “Are there more? Where that came from?” When I explained the situation, she apologized. She then said that she had cancer and could eat very little other than the occasional ice-cream.
The next evening, I decided to buy two ice-cream. On the way to Dad’s room, I stopped in at the sick woman’s room, and offered her the ice-cream I’d bought for her. She was totally stunned that I had thought of her, and accepted the gift with tears in her eyes. I spoke with her for a few minutes, explaining what was happening in my family and listened to her similar story of pain and suffering. It was apparent that she did not have many visitors, and the ice-cream and our short chat meant a great deal to her.
I repeated the gesture a few days later, and this time was rewarded with a huge hug.
I never even thought to ask her name, and never saw her again, but it made me realize that an act of kindness can be more rewarding when you give it, rather than receive it.

In the field of business, getting negative feedback (反馈) from customers is commonly annoying. Every company always wants to please its customers with its products or services. Every company wants to get positive comments from its customers rather than get criticism. Not all people know that negative feedback actually provides various benefits for companies. Here are some of the benefits of getting negative feedback.
Whether a person is selling a product or a service to another person or organization, when there is negative feedback, he or she will improve the quality of the product or service. Every person or organization would like to please and keep their angry customers and the only way to do this is review the complaint and take necessary steps to win back the customers’ trust. Throughout the process, the quality of services and products will be improved.
Negative feedback may also cause many changes in a company. Receiving criticism can give the company the chance to adjust its goals to meet the needs or the expectations of its customers. For companies that offer products or services, negative feedback from customers may also cause them to create new and better products or services which could bring in more success and more customers.
If companies are able to pay great attention to the problems raised by customers, they may also gain loyalty(忠诚) from them. Studies have shown that customers actually become more loyal to a product or a service when their problems attract the companies enough attention. Many customers may complain, but they can also become loyal to a product or a service when they are being listened to and when their problems are properly dealt with.
